EL1 Strategic and Operations Reporting

  • $600 - $900 / Daily Rate / Plus Super
  • Deakin, ACT
  • 12-month contract (possible extension)
About the client
One of our largest clients is now seeking an EL1 Strategic and Operations Reporting to join there fast-growing team of talented individuals offering an attractive pay in Deakin.
 
About the role
The Strategic and Operations Reporting team in the Office of the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) is responsible for building, delivering and maintaining a comprehensive suite of reporting and analytics for the Branches under the agency CRO. The ideal candidate will be a problem-solver whose thinking is based on mathematical fundamentals and utilising the available tools to solve business problems. You will have demonstrable experience in delivering results with data and automation of analytical assets having enabled success in Organisations from Private and/or Legislated environments.
 
Duties
  • Working with stakeholders to understand and document requirements and address business needs though transforming raw data into reports and insights.
  • Development and delivery of high-quality reporting products in consultation with the Business areas to ensure products meet user stories & acceptance criteria.
  • Increase efficiency in the division by creating a ‘single source of truth’ for all reporting. These reports will comprise of rich and drillable visualisations while being accessible.
  • Manage assigned reporting projects end-to-end including requirements gathering, managing workflow and development.
  • Develop reports according to Style guides, User Experience and Accessibility Standards of the broader team Coding and Technical Standards.
  • Ensure all report products are well tested and documented, and releases contain appropriate change notes and documentation.
Essential Criteria
  • Expert level SQL and/or SAS Skills with a minimum of 8 or more years in Business Intelligence/ Data arena.
  • Demonstrable skills in Python building analytical assets such as Forecasting, Predictive Modelling and Text Analysis will be highly regarded.
  • Experience in visualisation tools such as SAS Viya, Tableau, Qlikview or similar will be well regarded.
Desirable Criteria
  • Relevant Analytics related Vendor certifications
  • Knowledge of reporting objects such as hierarchies, prompts, parameters, filters, custom calculated items and XML editing in SAS VA/Tableau
  • Release management.
