EL1 - Financial Reporting, Operations and Systems Manager

The Organisation:
Small agency with free parking. They use TechOne as their FMIS and have a close knit finance team.

The Role:
As the EL1 Financial Reporting, operations, and Systems, you’ll be responsible for managing a small team of 3 staff that deliver EOM and EOFY statements, all financial operations (AR/AP/etc.) and TechOne Systems Administration.  It’s a broad role but manageable for an organized and versatile EL1.  Their Financial Reporting and operations areas have strong processes and a full head count.  There are no major systems upgrades scheduled in the short term and they are already using CI Anywhere.

The challenge comes in juggling responsibilities, and you’ll be managing and delivering on all fronts.  The client is keen to meet someone who can meet the challenge of leading staff and delivering on their financial statements.  You’ll be provided with training and support to develop your systems administration skills.

The role is available as a permanent s26 transfer, or via an initial 12 months non-ongoing contract.  There is also the potential to act in the EL2 CFO role in the future as, and when they are on leave.

Your Skills and Experience:
You’re a leader of staff and strong technically, holding a full CA./CPA is desirable, but second to demonstrated experience of delivering government financial statements in the recent past.  Systems experience with TechOne is a must and a combination of Financial Reportingand Systems support would be ideal. 

Excellent communication skills and a demonstrated track record of leading staff are also important for this role.

You must also hold a Baseline clearance and be an Australian Citizen.
