The Team
The AEC has a dispersed network of 151 electoral divisions, 30 of which are located across QLD including a State Office in the Brisbane CBD and several single and multi-divisional office sites across the state.
There are currently Electoral Service Support Officer vacancies in various locations across the state. The Service Support Officers support the Team Leader and work alongside a small dynamic team.
For the delivery of federal elections or other federal electoral events, staffing rapidly expands to help manage the increased workload around risk management, fast-moving project work and logistical activities, media and public scrutiny.
The Opportunities
We are seeking versatile and energetic people to undertake a range of administrative functions in enrolment and election management, and project management and delivery.
You will provide frontline client services to members of the public, including answering enquiries on, and assisting with, electoral enrolment. The Electoral Service Support Officer is responsible for undertaking work that is of low to moderate complexity and, during an election, may be required to supervise a small team and provide training to aid in the delivery of planned activities.
Duties may also include processing special categories of enrolment and contributing to the planning and project management of key election activities, leading the delivery of several projects, ensuring communication flows seamlessly and accurately to the Team Leader.
The Electoral Service Support Officer positions (APS 2) are part time during core business periods and move to full time for an electoral event.
