Electrical and Instrumentation Maintainer

Our Golden Grove mine is located just a short 1-hour flight from Perth or Geraldton. With a 10 year mine life, our high-grade resource is supported by modern infrastructure providing a platform for future growth.

We are currently seeking an Electrical and Refrigeration Technician to join our Golden Grove team and be responsible for maintaining the Golden Grove fixed plant operations including village infrastructure, and a great opportunity to join a friendly and experienced team. This is a permanent position, offered on a 14 days on, 14 days off, off FIFO from either Perth or Geraldton.  

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Installing, maintaining and repairing of industrial refrigeration systems up to 4800kWr;
• Installing, maintaining and repairing bulk air chillers which service the underground mine;
• Performing planned maintenance activities for site air-conditioning assets;
• Regularly inspecting the existing refrigeration installations to ensure it meets and continues to meet statutory and site requirements;
• Regularly inspecting the existing electrical installation to ensure it meets and continues to meet statutory and site requirements;
• Carrying out a JHA and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for but not limited to electrical, refrigeration maintenance tasks as required;
• Being conversant with the 29Metals PRONTO site operating system utilised on a daily basis.

What we are looking for:

• Electrical trade;
• Refrigeration trade;
• Cert III in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning;
• Cert III in Electrotechnology (desirable);
• HVACR ticket;
• ARCTick Refrigerant Handling Licence (desirable);
• Current (REL) Restricted electrical licence (minimum);
• Ability to interpret Electrical and refrigeration engineering drawings.
