Job Title: Electricians and Dual Trade Technicians
Location: Cooper Basin - FIFO - flights covered from Brisbane or Adelaide
Rate: $70 per hour
2 weeks on 2 weeks off roster
Contract - works to begin in March and expected to last until September.

Premier Engineering are pleased to present an opportunity for our client, who are seeking skilled Electricians or Dual Trade Technicians to join our dynamic construction team for an upcoming contract within the Cooper Basin. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in various tasks related to the installation of Electrical and Instrumentation infrastructure, particularly in hazardous areas associated with oil facilities and gas wells. The initial project involves the installation of remote sensors aimed at digitalizing the management system. Subsequent tasks will encompass the construction of well sites, including beam pumps, ESP wells, and similar structures. Additionally, there will be ad hoc construction work related to infrastructure expansion.
The point of hire for this exciting opportunity is either Brisbane or Adelaide.
Responsibilities:
· Install Electrical and Instrumentation systems in facility settings.
· Conduct the installation and testing of SWA cable glands within hazardous facilities.
· Set up cable tray and supports for beam pumps, free flow wells, and associated equipment.
· Complete handover documentation, including FIC's, HA Inspections, and RLMU Drawings.
· Execute construction works for beam pumps, free flow wells, and associated equipment.
· Provide daily reporting of completed tasks, including reporting delays and variations.
· Troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to Electrical and Instrumentation equipment.
· Maintain detailed records of daily works, reporting any delays.
· Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards, especially in hazardous areas.
· Participate actively in safety and environmental compliance efforts.
Qualifications:
· Possession of a full and unrestricted SA (South Australia) electrical license.
· Swagelok Ticket is advantageous.
· EEHA (Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas) certification or qualification
· Proven experience as an E&I Technician.
· Certificate III in Instrumentation
· In-depth knowledge of current Australian Standards and Wiring Rules for installing electrical infrastructure in hazardous and non-hazardous areas.
· Strong problem-solving skills and hands-on expertise in working in remote areas.
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
· Willingness to work in a dynamic and safety-focused environment.
· Possession of a 4WD ticket is advantageous.
· Experience from within the construction industry is advantageous.
