If you are looking for an electrical career in the Petro/Chemical, bitumen, hazardous area & heavy industrial industry, where you will learn the advanced understanding of VF drives, PLC's, 3-ph motors, DOL's, control circuits & fault finding then we have an immediate start available for the right candidate. J.C.H. Electrical was established in 2004 & is a privately owned business servicing blue chip clients in the petroleum & heavy industrial industry. We are seeking a motivated 1st, 2nd or 3rd year electrical apprentice to join our experienced team due to our continued growth. In this roll you will be exposed to various work environments - Industrial workshops, plants, warehouses, petroleum terminals/depots & regional airport aviation fuel facilities. Majority of works are within the Brisbane & inner-city northern suburbs, although the applicant must be available to also work away when required at regional / interstate sites for new install projects and maintenance works.
Qualifications & experience
- Manual driver's license. .
- White Card.
- Current CPR / LVR.
- Positive outlook with great work ethics & self-appearance to represent our company.
- Highly confident & must be polite with customers and affiliate contractors / engineers.
- Ability to work unsupervised & in a small team.
- Ability to undertake physical work & with a focus on safety.
- Australian citizen or permanent resident only apply.
- Later stage apprentices should be performing well at college and e-profiling/Exemplar must be up to date.
- Later stage apprentices with previous solid industrial experience an advantage.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Electrical installations
- Maintenance of heavy industrial electrical plant equipment.
- Assist with fault finding / diagnostics.
- Regional & interstate project installation's & maintenance.
