Integral marine management roleSupported by a strong marine teamAccess to a range of employee benefitsAbout the roleThe Maintenance Manager role is a key position in the SeaLink NT leadership team, responsible for maintaining the vessels and company assets to the highest standard to ensure a safe and efficient operation.The position leads, plans and prioritises to effectively:
- Maintain vessel maintenance schedules, troubleshoot, diagnose and rectify engineering issues throughout the fleet.
- Ensure ferries and equipment comply with all current legislation and standards
- Manage costs in line with budget
- Provide guidance and training to the onboard Marine Maintenance crew
A key outcome of this role is to ensure we continue to offer faultless, reliable on-time running aboard the highest quality vessels, to our customers.

These key requirements will be complimented by experience and skills in the following areas:
- Minimum 2 years maintenance planning and budgeting experience
- Minimum 2 years supervisory experience
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience with marine vessel machinery, especially marine diesel engines
- Knowledge of CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management Systems)
- Sound knowledge and understanding of MARPOL and NT Marine Pollution Act
- Advanced knowledge of diesel fitting and turning
- Sound knowledge of hydraulic, electrical and air conditioning systems
- Marine Engineer Driver 1 or above
- Trade Qualification in Mechanical or Electrical
- MEX User Certificate
- Restricted Electrical license
- Working within confined spaces ticket
- Forklift ticket
- Senior First Aid/Advanced Resuscitation
- Open Driver’s License (essential)
