About the Role
We are seeking qualified Electrical Design Draftspersons who will be responsible for:
- Drafting detailed electrical, communication, fire, and security systems plans for various projects, including educational institutions, retail spaces, leisure facilities, healthcare facilities, residential areas, airports, and power stations, ensuring all drafts adhere to current industry standards and project specifications.
- Preparing, submitting, and managing work plans, council approvals, and necessary applications to comply with local regulations and project requirements, focusing on the detailed documentation required for approvals.
- Coordinating the process for obtaining supply agreements and certificates of supply, liaising with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of materials and services, facilitating the logistical aspects of project materials.
- Collaborating with architects, mechanical engineers, and other professionals to detail and integrate electrical services with other building services and architectural features, ensuring a holistic approach to project design through precise drafting.
- Supporting the construction phase with detailed drafts, reviewing technical specifications against tenders, assisting in the certification of claims, and helping resolve on-site issues to ensure projects are completed according to design specifications.
- Assisting in the preparation of due diligence reports, contributing to master planning, and providing detailed drafting support for developer works to support project conception and planning stages.
- Supporting the delivery of key infrastructure projects, including substations, traffic signals, and public lighting systems, by providing detailed drafts and ensuring technical requirements are met and projects are delivered to a high standard.
- Producing As-Constructed documentation and supporting project sign-off, ensuring all work is documented accurately and meets client and regulatory approval for project completion.
About you:
The minimum requirements for the position are:
▪ At least a AQF Diploma or overseas equivalent (may be substituted by at least three years of work experience)
▪ At least two years of relevant work experience.
▪ Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe, Excel, and Microsoft Office suite.
▪ Ability to read and interpret plans.
▪ Ability to work autonomously.
▪ Communication skills, both written and verbal along with a proven commitment to teamwork.
▪ Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Remuneration package
The salary for this position is: AU$ 70,000.00 - AU$ 75,000.00 + superannuation
