As the Electrical Design Engineer or Electrical Designer, you will be at the forefront of shaping the future of sustainable technology. Your primary responsibilities will include developing detailed designs, exploring avenues for enhancing performance and cost-effectiveness, and collaborating closely with the Senior Electrical Engineer on various product and project design initiatives. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in maintaining effective communication with suppliers, managing the CAD libraries, and ensuring seamless coordination with external manufacturing partners.

Client Details

My client is a small to medium energy and engineering company that is at the forefront of renewable energy systems. They manufacture the required equipment to be able to generate environmentally friendly steam with zero carbon emissions which will be able to replace natural gas and LPG. They work with a range of companies in food, building products, manufacturing and are continuing to grow and enter new markets with their patented technology.

Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of intricate drawings and CAD models for our core technologies, contributing to the advancement of our green solutions.
• Collaborate closely with the Senior Electrical Engineer, providing vital support in product and project design activities.
• Drive innovation by proposing design changes and iterations that enhance the overall performance and cost efficiency of our components.
• Oversee the comprehensive management of detailed designs, guiding the process from initial sketches to full-fledged production.
• Foster strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring the accomplishment of price and quality objectives.
• Maintain up-to-date CAD libraries and facilitate the effective sharing of common components across various projects.
• Develop system designs that seamlessly integrate with our external manufacturing partners, ensuring a streamlined and efficient production process.

Profile

Job Requirements:

• A formal electrical engineering qualification is desirable but not essential.
• Demonstrable expertise in CAD skills is essential, reflecting your ability to transform conceptual designs into reality.
• Solid understanding of low to medium volume manufacturing is desirable, allowing you to navigate the intricacies of production requirements.
• Previous experience with quality systems adhering to ISO-9001 standards is preferred, highlighting your commitment to delivering superior products.
• Familiarity with test and measurement techniques and systems is advantageous, demonstrating your comprehensive approach to engineering solutions.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are crucial, ensuring effective collaboration and teamwork within the organization.
• Comfort with data and technology is key, enabling you to thrive in a dynamic and technology-driven environment.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel as required is essential, contributing to the success of our global sustainable engineering initiatives.
