Our reputable building services engineering company, located on St Kilda Road, Melbourne VIC, is currently seeking a full-time Intermediate Electrical Protection Engineer.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESThe role will involve undertaking the following tasks:
- Lead and deliver all assigned projects in accordance with the requirements of clients.
- Be responsible for the completion and delivery of the project to meet the satisfaction of the client and project initiators.
- Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, PowerPac).
- Lead the project by presenting all disciplines in project meetings.
- Assess buildings, both existing and new, against the National Construction Code and relevant Australian Standards.
- Build relationships with clients, contractors, builders, suppliers, and authorities.
- Write project reports.
- Attend meetings, site inspections, and other construction phase responsibilities.
- Maintain communication with the Project Initiator/Client /Project Manager.
Essential
- Qualifications, including tertiary degree or any relevant accredited courses.
- Proven work experience in a similar role (3+ years as a minimum).
- Experience with AutoCAD or similar software.
- Technical understanding of AutoCAD and PowerPac EMD calculation software.
- Thorough working knowledge and understanding of relevant Australian codes and standards.
- Ability to understand the needs of the clients.
- Excellent time management and must know how to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have a positive, can-do attitude.
- Effective team player, with flexibility and adaptability.
Desirable
- Knowledge of the NCC (National Construction Code) relevant to Building Services Design.
- With understanding of Building Services.
- Ability to work with a documentation team.
- Ability to undertake designs from concept to completion, assisted by a Project Engineer.
- Ability to undertake personal research to assist with project design work.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
