Electrical Engineer - Field Engineer

Wood is currently recruiting for an Electrical Engineer - Field Engineer to join our team in Perth, Western Australia as part of its Operations APAC (West) business. This is an opportunity to join our expanding Oil and Gas Operations team, due to recently securing several large projects with existing long-term clients.
You will be reporting directly to the Lead Electrical Engineer. Initially, you will be working as a Field Engineer and manage the implementation of work packs and later move across to FEED / Execution to EPCM delivery, for some of the world’s most technically challenging brownfields Oil & Gas projects for Wood's Electrical Engineering group.

Suitably qualified in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution, ideally you will have a minimum of 2+ years of proven experience in the Offshore and Onshore LNG, O&G brownfields engineering EPCM sector in Australia.
In addition, you will have:
- Engineering office design experience with experience in either some / all of the following:
- power generation
- power distribution (MV & LV)
- equipment specification (i.e. Power Transformers, MV & LV motors and drives, MV & LV switchgear, cabling, lighting, earthing)
- Design knowledge of applicable codes and standards (both international and Australian)
- Excellent analytical, literacy and numerical skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Be prepared to undertake site visits either onshore / offshore
- Well-developed computer skills and knowledge of databases, spreadsheets and engineering programs
- A“ solutions mindset” and able to manage varying tasks with often changing and competing priorities
