Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with a focus on detailed design and calculations. This role requires expertise in completing essential deliverables such as cable sizing, load lists, and equipment lists. Experience in secondary Design in high-voltage (HV) substations is desirable but not necessary.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in making our client’s mining operations run entirely on their own grid, powered by multiple solar farms and battery energy storage systems (BESS). Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed design engineering tasks for various projects.
- Complete calculations and produce deliverables such as cable sizing, load lists, and equipment lists.
- Design and implement electrical systems for solar farms and BESS.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project requirements are met.
- Review and analyze technical specifications and drawings.
- Provide technical support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and advancements.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in detailed design engineering.
- Proficiency in completing calculations and producing deliverables such as cable sizing, load lists, and equipment lists.
- Experience in designing electrical systems for renewable energy projects, specifically solar farms and BESS.
- Experience in secondary Design in HV substations is highly desirable but not essential.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
