Electrical Engineering Technician

The Company:

Skyscraper Tower Cranes is a Sydney-based tower crane hire company and also consists of a team of highly skilled Tower Crane Operators, Tower Crane Riggers and Dogman.

The Role:

As our Electrical Engineering Technician, you will be effectively and efficiently assisting electrical engineers and site supervisors via assemble, install, repair and layout of electrical installations and machinery.

Responsibilities:

• ·         Build, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, or repair electrical machinery, operations equipment, and functional criteria of crane units.
• ·         Assembling electrical and electronic systems and prototypes according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principles, using hand tools and measuring instruments.
• ·         Evaluating engineering proposals, shop drawings and design comments for sound Electrical Engineering practice and conformance with established safety and design criteria and recommend approval or disapproval.
• ·         Conducting inspections for quality control and assurance programs, reporting findings and recommendations.
• ·         Set up and operate test equipment to evaluate performance of developmental parts, assemblies, or systems under simulated operating conditions, and record results.
• ·         Analysing and interpreting test information to resolve design-related problems.
• ·         Assisting Electrical Engineers and Engineering Technologists with research and collecting relevant data.

Skills & Attributes:

·         Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience

·         Great communication and interpersonal skills

·         Strong organisational and time management skills

·         Able to be practical and having technical ability

·         Able to undertake detailed and accurate work

·         Great problem-solving skills
