Electrical Estimator

Due to unprecedented growth, they are currently seeking an Electrical Estimator to join their team.

THE ROLE
Reporting to the Estimating Manager your responsibilities will include:

• Preparation of tenders: Measurement and calculation of quantiles for material and labour. Document control and liaising with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Risk Analysis: Review project/client specifications and documentation, identify risks and collaborate on risk mitigation strategies with our operations team. This includes staying up to date with Australian Standards, and industry trends and technological advancements to enhance estimation accuracy.
• Proposal Strategy Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of proposal strategies. Utilise your technical knowledge to assess project complexities and identify value-add opportunities.
• Client & Team Collaboration: Liaise closely with operational teams and clients to ensure projects are properly scoped and prepared, integrating feedback into the estimating process.
• Tender Submissions: Prepare and submit tender submission documents, ensuring work method statements and construction schedules align with proposals and client criteria.
• Estimate Handover: Collaborate in the estimate handover process with Project Managers after award, including plans, specifications and schedules.
• Business Development: Strong interpersonal skills for effective client, team and subcontractor interactions.

• Have a strong “can do” attitude and a willingness to learn and further develop a career within their business.
• 1-5 years’ experience in an estimating role, construction, electrical and D&C projects being advantageous.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidentially with their co-workers, suppliers, management and clients.
• Comprehensive experience using Microsoft Office Suite
