Are you an Electrical Fitter Mechanic and/or Advanced Connections Officer looking for an opportunity with a difference? We have a newly formed team who will provide support to the organisation throughout the Southern Region.
This unique opportunity at Energy Queensland for a number of Electrical Fitter Mechanics is a great chance for those who are flexible, can adapt to change and work with a variety of teams throughout the Southern Region.
What’s new and exciting about this team:
Being part of this team will see you travelling across the Southern Region providing support to depots experiencing resourcing gaps for periods of time, this means you could be away from home for weeks, up to 35 weeks per year. The plus side is, you get to experience many different locations and teams within Energy Queensland, building relationships throughout the organisation, developing your skill set and earning more money through regular overtime and living away from home allowances as per the Enterprise Bargaining Agreement.
About you:
The successful candidates can be based at any agreed upon Southern Field Delivery operational depot, however, you must be prepared to regularly work away from home across the Southern Region.
Critical to your success in the role:
- Be trade qualified with a Queensland Electrical Fitter Mechanic licence.
- Demonstrated knowledge of an electricity distribution/transmission system, including construction and maintenance of the electrical network.
- Working knowledge of Electricity Act & Regulations, Workplace Health & Safety Act and Regulations, and other relevant statutory acts & regulations.
- Availability for call out and emergency work.
- Willingness to travel and work away from home regularly (anticipated potential of up to 35 weeks per year)
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and a proven ability to effectively work in varied team settings
- Proven ability to implement SID pillars
- Current ‘C’ class open Drives Licence.

What's on offer:
Remuneration from $97,006 per annum + 12.75% super + allowances
The level of payment will be subject to an assessment of the applicant’s knowledge, skill and competencies required for the position.
