About The Role
The Leading Hand- Electrical Outbye will support our Underground Mining Operations by providing leadership and direction to our vital underground electrical maintenance crews. This important role is based in Narrabri and is offered as a DIDO or Residential Opportunity.
FIFO from Wollongong or Newcastle may be offered to very experienced candidates.
What You’ll Do
- Ensure that all electrical maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with relevant coal mining legislation and requirements;
- Perform electrical inspections and audits, to ensure that all electrical work is carried out as instructed and to compliance and mine standards;
- Develop specific performance measures for the outbye equipment with Superintendent and other Department users.
- Ensure team is carrying out planned daily electrical maintenance activities and implementing daily maintenance plans including allocating personnel and equipment to tasks;
- Plan, develop and monitor shutdown electrical maintenance programs;
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience working in underground coal mining
- Trade qualifications as an Electrician
- Proven experience in High Voltage Switching, PLC & Instrumentation proficiency
- Proven experience planning, training and supervising the work of others
