Join our team and help us in advancing the energy transition towards net zero while enjoying a healthy work-life balance, career growth and a strong focus on safety, diversity and inclusion.We’re looking for a Linesperson and/or Cable Jointer to permanently join our Overhead/Underground team located in Rockhampton.The Overhead workgroup constructs, maintains and repairs LV and HV overhead powerline infrastructure, including transformers and network switches.The Underground workgroup installs, maintains and repairs LV and HV underground infrastructure, including cables (polymeric and paper lead), pad-mounted transforms and ring main units.What’s on offer:Remuneration from $97,006 - $101,800 per annum + 12.75% superThe level of payment will be subject to an assessment of the applicant’s knowledge, skill and competencies required for the position.Other Benefits:

About the role:As a Linesperson, you will:

• Be trade qualified with a Queensland Electrical Licensing Board Certificate of Competency as an Electrical Linesperson, or
• Construct, maintain and repair overhead, high, and low voltage electrical distribution and sub-transmission systems, street lighting mains and customer service lines.

As a Cable Jointer, you will:

• Be trade qualified with a Queensland Electrical Cable Jointer licence (restricted to polymeric or full paper lead endorsement).

About you:Critical to your success in the role, is your:

• Demonstrated knowledge of an electricity distribution/transmission system, including construction and maintenance of the electrical network.
• Working knowledge of Electricity Act & Regulations, Workplace Health & Safety Act and Regulations, and other relevant statutory acts & regulations.
• Availability for call out and emergency work.
• Willingness to travel to surrounding areas from time to time to undertake work.
• Current ‘C’ class open Drives Licence.
