The Role - A rare opportunity has become available for a highly skilled and motivated Technician to join our Team.
Based at our Lonsdale manufacturing plant, this important role will focus on ensuring our plant and equipment are maintained to optimal efficiency and reliability. As an already experienced ELECTRICAL / MECHANICAL technician, we expect you already have the skills required to deliver on mechanical fitting, diagnostics, pneumatic systems, electrical fault finding, and reporting on equipment malfunctions.
Maintaining and fixing equipment including fault finding and prompt responses to breakdown call-outs on-time, are all integral requirements for this role.
Responsibilities include:
- Report any equipment malfunction as soon as practicable and make recommendations on corrective action required
- Apply best work practices to maximise productivity and efficiencies and minimise equipment or plant downtime
- Perform regular preventative maintenance and general machinery activities
- Fault finding, breakdown events
- Assist on factory shutdowns
- Provide mechanical support and knowledge to internal clients as requested
- Respond to call outs as required
To be successful in this role you will be experienced in:
- Trade qualified in Mechanical / Electrical disciplines in manufacturing
- Pneumatic systems (highly desirable)
- CNC controllers (highly desirable)
- Working in a manufacturing or maintenance environment
- Applying Continuous Improvement tools and techniques
- Troubleshooting and proposing solutions
- Work outside normal working hours (should it be necessary)
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Collaborating with internal customers
