Electrical Project Manager

The Role:
Genus Industrial is looking for a Project Manager to work at our Head Office in Belmont, with occasional visits to project sites. The person will be responsible for planning and carrying out a long-term plan and making sure that both new and existing projects are completed successfully. The right candidate will be able to manage multiple projects ranging from 3 to 11 million dollars.

Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion, including in-depth reviews to schedule deliverables, estimate costs, select tools, materials, equipment, and track inventory.

• Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, overseeing all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with design, quality, and other client specifications.
• Negotiate terms of agreements and contracts.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with project stakeholders, upholding Australians standards and best business practices.
• Client Relationship Management
• Contribute to the success of the business.

About You:

• Enthusiastic with strong motivation and drive.
• Experience working on green and brownfield projects.
• Ability to balance leadership, communication, and strategic thinking.
• Time management and organisation skills.
• Managing project quality.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

Position Requirement:

• Qualification in the Electrical Trades and or Engineering.
• Qualification in Project Management desirable but not essential.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in project management for major mining clients.
• Confidence in managing subcontractors.
• Strong technical understanding of electrical construction for the following sectors, mining, materials handling, substations, process plants.
• Demonstrated experience in achieving performance goals and objectives.
• Demonstrated experience in managing high performance teams.
• Demonstrated Project Management experience.
