ELECTRICAL STUDENT MENTOR
The Australian Trade Training College is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic ‘Mentor’ with an Electrical trade background to work with Prevocational, Post Trade students and apprentices. You will work alongside a qualified Electrician and Trade Trainer whilst being supported in obtaining your Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, to assist in the College’s delivery of high-quality training in the Electrical Trades. This is a role that you can develop within.
This role will be based from our Banyo Campus.
Key accountabilities/Responsibilities
- Assist students studying the Certificate II and III in Electrotechnology with practical activities and training milestones.
- Use your industry knowledge and skills to instil in students to maintain a clean, tidy, and safe workplace.
- Ensure all equipment for student use is kept in good and safe operational condition
- Assist Trainer with daily activities throughout their training through use of Student management and expectations.

Skills you need to be successful:
- Trade qualification/Trade certificate and Industry Currency in the Electrical Industry
- Ability to engage, inspire and support students throughout their learning.
- Agree to completing the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Have good written and verbal communication.
- Moderate level of computer skills (MS Word and Excel)
