This is a full-time, fixed term position through to May 2025 with salary in the range $88,099 to $94,512 plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%.

About This Opportunity
The Student Experience Coordinator (Volunteering/Mentoring) collaborates with the Student Experience and Engagement teams to integrate student community groups into university-wide initiatives for welcoming, inducting, and transitioning new students. They oversee a wide array of volunteering and mentoring opportunities aimed at enriching students' sense of belonging, employability, and enjoyment at UQ, while providing valuable support and engagement for fellow students. This role focuses on enhancing engagement and support for UQ's mentoring and volunteering programs, fostering connections within the UQ community, and amplifying their impact in specific communities. Responsibilities include collaborating with volunteer program leaders, facilitating recruitment, training, and recognition of student participants in Volunteering/Mentoring activities.
Key responsibilities will include:
Collaborate with Project Coordinators to plan and implement student engagement activities, focusing on enhancing the UQ community experience.
Coordinate a unified approach to student volunteer engagement across UQ.
Serve as the main contact for internal stakeholders seeking student involvement in specific initiatives.
Manage recruitment, training, and ongoing support for student volunteers, mentors, and partners, including professional development and recognition.
Develop and maintain web content and resources to support student engagement efforts and facilitate the creation of engagement networks.
Assist in identifying and analysing data to support engagement activities, providing reports and recommendations as needed.
Support the organization and execution of various student engagement events in collaboration with the Student Experience Team.
Fulfil reasonable requests from the Student Affairs Leadership Team as necessary.
About You
Essential
Completion of an undergraduate degree or equivalent experience (3-4 years) in relevant fields.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills demonstrated through interactions with various stakeholders.
Experience in developing and implementing projects to enhance the Student Experience, with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Proficiency in data analysis, report drafting, and integration of information from CRM systems, with a dedication to continuous improvement.
Knowledge of university structures, policies, procedures, and practices in higher education, or the ability to quickly acquire this knowledge.
Desirable
Familiarity with Student Experience, retention, and employability issues in higher education nationally.
Awareness and/or involvement in volunteer engagement and mentoring programs.
You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment and may be required to complete background checks including, criminal history and education checks.
