The Switchboard Manufacturing division is now seeking a Workshop Supervisor to lead the workshop team. This division is responsible for the design, manufacture and supply of customised switchboards for the industrial sectors.
Opportunity
Reporting to the Delivery Manager, this is an integral role within the company and will see you responsible for overseeing and coordinating day to day operations within the Switchboard workshop on multiple projects as well as maintaining schedule to the Project Manager. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Managing all aspects of multiple jobs and reporting status updates to the Project Manager or Delivery Manager
- Provide strong leadership for the workshop team by building and maintaining relationships
- Ensure work is planned out in advance and be able to adapt efficiently pending objectives
- Coordination of work schedules
- Coordinating tasks and ensuring adherence to safe work method statements, risk assessments and inductions
- Assisting in procurement and availability of materials, plant and equipment
- Preparing and presenting workshop inductions, safety briefings and toolbox talks
- Report and escalate issues when necessary

The Candidate
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Supervisor who has previous experience working in a similar role.
To be considered for this opportunity you will possess following skills and attributes:
- Minimum 5 years post trade experience
- A strong background in management, supervision and leading a team of project delivery staff
- Queensland Electrical Contractor licence
- White Card
- CPR/LVR
- A strong knowledge of the AS3000:2018 wiring rules and amendments – Section 8 specifically
