Our Cadia operation in Australia is now recruiting for the position of UG Electrical Technician.

Overview

Are you an experienced electrician seeking a challenging and rewarding career in the mining industry? We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled underground electrician to join our Ridgeway team and play a crucial role in maintaining the electrical systems that power our mining operations. You will be a vital part of our mission to extract valuable resources while prioritizing safety and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, equipment, and components.
• Perform routine inspections and troubleshoot electrical issues to ensure the smooth operation of machinery and other electrical systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to create a secure work environment for all employees.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and upgrades for documentation and reporting purposes.
• Provide timely response to emergency electrical breakdowns to minimize downtime and production disruptions.

Requirements:

• Trade Qualification & Electrical Licence
• Proven experience as an electrician in industrial settings, with specific experience in mining operations being a strong asset
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Current Manual C Class Driver’s Licence
