About the role:
Aurizon is currently looking for a qualified Electrical Tradesperson/ Locomotive Maintainer to join our Gladstone maintenance depot. Working on Locomotives within a well organised and thriving workshop, this is a great opportunity to be part of a stable organisation that values both its people and safety alike. There are a variety shift options including day shift and lifestyle roster.
You will be responsible for:
- Performing complex troubleshooting, fault rectification duties, repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenance procedures on rollingstock.
- Supervising, mentoring, and assisting the development of apprentices and Locomotive Maintainers.
- Utilising and inputting accurate data into information and maintenance management systems.
- Assisting with the implementation and development of quality improvement in the area to enhance customer service.
About you:
- Must hold an electrical trade certificate or equivalent.
- A strong commitment to safety and the “I Know Safe, I choose Safe” principal.
- Heavy industry maintenance background highly regarded.
- Mobile Plant equipment experience (preferred).
- High level skill in trouble shooting, fault rectification & preventative maintenance of rollingstock.
- Adequate level of skill in interpreting technical instructions and drawings
- Sound computer literacy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
