Job title: Electrical/Controls Field Service Technician (power generation)
Location: FIFO Perth to carry out electrical and technical works on power station equipment
Roster: 2 weeks on 2 weeks off (no travel in your own time)
Salary: $140,000 - $150,000 (experience dependent) + super + site allowance
This is a full-time permanent role.
Experience in electrical, diesel, and renewables which include solar, Batteries (BESS) and Wind along with Gas is essential.
Premier Engineering are pleased to present an opportunity for experienced power generation Field Service Technicians! The successful candidates will play a crucial role in maintaining the reliability of our power stations and providing essential technical support to our Operations and Maintenance teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting advanced fault finding and troubleshooting of power generation equipment and related ancillary systems.
- Training staff in the day-to-day operations of power generation equipment and its associated systems.
- Assisting in the planning and scheduling of work activities.
- Contributing to the creation of project estimates, quotations, and proposals.
- Providing necessary feedback and information to senior management regarding areas under your responsibility.
- Participating in maintenance planning and procurement of required equipment.
- Stepping in for relief operating duties when colleagues are sick, on leave, or as directed.
- Regular travel to sites and readiness to mobilize on short notice.
- Being on-call for call-out roster duties.
- Experience with COMAP systems.
Essential Requirements:
- Holding electrical trade qualifications.
- Minimum of 5 years' post-trade experience in the power generation industry.
- Possessing Electrical Licences for WA and NT.
- Experience with PLC systems.
- Demonstrated technical knowledge and strong diagnostic skills.
- Holding a current C class driver's licence.
- Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical and National Police Clearance.
- Having the right to work in Australia.
- Strong communication skills.
- Flexibility with roster arrangements.
- A solid understanding of, and dedication to, safety protocols.
