The role:
We are seeking an experienced Electrician to join our team in Bundaberg. You will be responsible for carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance on a broad range of electrical installations and instruments, including (but not limited too) high voltage control gear up to 11kV, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s), SCADA, flow, level and temperature transmitters. Our portfolio is diverse and disperse and your challenge will be your ability to work in this extensive environment as you will be required to occasionally travel up to 300km to access the region’s most distant assets.
You will bring:
You will be experienced in operational and maintenance of high capacity pumping systems or in a heavy industrial environment. A highly analytical individual with the proven ability in evaluating situations and providing appropriate solutions. Your solid technical skills in instrumentation, PLC systems, SCADA, solar and communication systems will see you succeed in this role. You will hold a Queensland electrical work license supported by the following:
Trade qualified with QLD electrical work license
Class ‘C’ manual drivers licence
High Voltage Switching Qualifications or the desire to obtain them
Workplace competencies for confined space, work at heights and elevating work platforms or be prepared to obtain them
Operational experience in high-capacity pumping systems or in a heavy industrial environment
Physically and otherwise capable of working at heights and in confined spaces
