This role will see you tasked with High Voltages project delivery mostly within the Air, Electric Power Production, Food and Beverage, Manufacturing and Mines & Quarries segments.
The Role
Working within the Industrial Services Business Unit, the High Voltage Electrician will be exposed to new and exciting projects and be responsible for:
- Fieldwork including installation, connection, fault diagnosis, testing, maintenance, and commissioning
- Operate switchgear, develop/coordinate switching programs/schedules, control permit to work operations, perform/coordinate/direct switching programs, apply access procedures to work on network infrastructure
- Maintain substation/switchrooms/enclosures
- HV cable testing
- Testing of earthing systems
- Low voltage (LV), medium voltage (MV) and High Voltage (HV) switchboard maintenance including thermal imaging inspection and power correction equipment
- Specialist testing and maintenance of HV equipment: protection relays, circuit breakers, transformers, switchboards and RMUs, VSDs, soft starters, PFC units, harmonic filters, motors, secondary resistance motor starters, battery systems including oil testing
The Person
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Highly motivated, organised, and flexible
- Positive, personable, and happy team player
- Good understanding of technical project life cycle
Essential Qualifications
- Queensland Electrical Work Licence (Electrical Fitter Mechanic)
- Construction Industry White Card
- Class C Drivers Licence (QLD)
- Current LVR & CPR
- HV Switching

- EWP High risk work licence
