About the Opportunity
Due to continued strong growth and the award of new projects supporting important infrastructure across NSW's transition to renewable energy, we are looking for an Electromechanical Engineer to join our highly experienced NSW team.
As the Electromechanical Engineer, You will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining systems and devices that integrate electrical and mechanical components for a major infrastructure project.
Key accountabilities for the position will be:
  • Lead the design and integration of electromechanical systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure synergy between mechanical and electrical components.
  • Conduct detailed analysis and simulations to optimise the performance and efficiency of electromechanical systems.
  • Liaise with the project team, including engineers, contractors, and suppliers, to ensure that all design requirements are met.
  • Ensure that all design changes are properly documented and communicated to the relevant parties.
  • Review project drawings and specifications to ensure that they are accurate and complete.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide updates on design activities.
Required Skills and Competencies
What Capability & Experience you will need to have:
  • Engineering degree (Electrical and Mechanical) or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a similar position, ideally within a construction/engineering environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail
