Position Advertisement- Electrical Technician

Based in Melbourne, Metra Australia specialises in integrated locker and access solutions for the leisure industry and corporate market. Metra Australia install, service and repair lockers all around Australia. Due to company growth, we are currently looking for a locker technician to service our clientele in the greater Melbourne area.
In this role key responsibilities will involve:
- Demonstrating, installing, documenting and Project Coordinating of Access Control and Locker Technologies
- Overseeing of Self- Service device sale-to-install chain, including ordering, configuring, quality control, dispatching, installing and training
- Providing assistance and support to clients undergoing large scale expansion, centralisation, Self-Service and Access Control Technologies
- Providing handover information, training and documentation for areas of responsibility to support team
- Onsite visits including installation, implementation, support, training and demonstration. This could include overnight, interstate and international travel
- Must be well educated in Metra's products and sales systems after initial training and be able to answer any question clients may have with confidence and professionalism
- Being responsible for installations including wiring.
Essential:
- Intermediate knowledge of Networking and Protocols
- Basic knowledge of Microelectronics
- Construction induction (White Card) Certificate
- A demonstrated high level of commitment to service excellence in the delivery of products and services to clients
- Very well developed organisational skills, including planning and time management
- Analytical and research skills including the ability to solve problems and provide recommendations to team members
- The ability to work autonomously, use initiative and continuously improve administrative functions and processes
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Initiative in identifying problems and solving them
- Accurate fault diagnosis capability
- An intermediate understanding of Microsoft Applications, including Word, Excel, Power point and Outlook
- Availability to travel at interstate with minimum notice.
- Sound electrical knowledge
- Physically fit
- Focussed with fine attention to detail, performance and quality
- A proactive, assertive and responsible attitude by nature
- Energy and enthusiasm with a positive "can do attitude"
- Current Drivers Licence
- Working with children check
Desirable
- Electronic and/or Electrical Qualification
- Precise Engineering / Mechanical skills
