The Role  

Based at our Helidon plant this role will lead our brand new Electronics Automated Detonator Assembly plant. Your role will be to ensure the sustained performance of the plant and drive continuous improvement. 

  • Responsibility for coordinating and leading daily manufacturing 
  • Demonstrate and/or lead the commitment to the pursuit of achieving Zero Harm through behavioural based safety
  • Providing strategic direction for value stream including long and short-range resource planning
  • Executing the manufacturing schedules based on information and requirements to plan production. 
  • On-time delivery of products while meeting quality standards, and at the lowest possible cost.
  • Support new process and product development and implementation

What you’ll bring  

  • You must be committed to positively contributing to our safe, inclusive and high-performance culture
  • Previous experience in leadership of manufacturing or assembly plants or a similar industry
  • Technical background either Trade or Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical preferred).
  • Eligible to hold a QLD Explosives Clearance (police check will be required)
  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office or similar

The Site

Our facility in Helidon, South East Queensland, enjoys a strategically advantageous location near the Warrego Highway, making it accessible to major freight routes in all directions. Situated adjacent to the Qld DEEDI Explosive Reserve and just 1km away from our domestic freight provider, we have a prime position for efficient operations. Established in 1988, our 400-acre site is purpose-built for the safe assembly and distribution of Nonel detonator assemblies, crucial for the mining and civil works industries.
