Having just been named the top innovator in healthcare for the AFR 2023 Most Innovative Companies, EMVision is developing point-of-care brain scanners, for rapid stroke diagnosis and monitoring, wherever the patient is.
We are looking for a creativeSoftware Engineer to deliver the device software and documentation for our complex medical device, supporting global regulatory submissions. Key to this role is an ability to work cross-functionally to support software research and development, and to provide technical assistance with respect to production and service.
Working as part of a team, and reporting through to the Lead Software Engineer, the key responsibilities of this role include:
- Developing and improving the software within the brain scanner.
- Developing the supporting software solution for the software.
- Liaising with internal & external stakeholders for the performance and functions of device software.
- Developing and participating in documentation, test protocol, testing and other activities required in the software development life cycle per software development and maintenance process.
If you have the following skills, qualities, and experience, we would like to hear from you:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
- Experience working with C++/C, Python.
- Experience of using Linux.
- Experience of micro-controller, firmware, Embedded Software trouble shooting, debugging.
- Quick learner, clear thinker at work, with a high attention to detail.
- Proactive, taking initiative and being self-sufficient.
- Organised, with the ability to prioritise workload.
- Interpersonal skills and abilities to communicate and work in a team environment amongst all levels of the organisation.
Preferred skills but not essential:
- Experience with multi-threading, shared resource.
- Experience with firmware debugging using tools for example oscilloscope.
- Experience with TCP/IP, SPI, I2C, UART communication interface.
- Experience with JIRA, GIT, Bitbucket, CMake, Jenkins/Bamboo.
