The application of verification and test principles typically takes the form of creating and executing test suites/plans through user or automated testing. You will be responsible for the design and development of new test suites. These test suites will be utilised throughout the complete product development process starting with and including: hardware design, prototype manufacture, factory testing, embedded built-in tests, acceptance tests, embedded OS tests, application and acceptance tests, integration tests, as well as deployment and CI/CD tools testing.

  • Execute and design integration, test & verification plans (IVV&T).
  • Develop and maintain continuous integration & continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Required qualifications skills and experience:
  • Experience in software development, preferably for real-time and distributed systems in industrial applications (mining, marine, rail, road transport).
  • A bachelor's degree qualification in Electronic, Electrical or Software Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Experience with V-Model development and the Automotive SPICE process is highly advantageous.
  • Experience with requirement management tools (i.e. IBM DOORS, Siemens Polarion) is highly advantageous.
  • Knowledge of software architecture design in distributed systems.
  • Understanding of network communications and protocols.
  • Experience in testing software deployment strategies.
  • Experience with operating systems deployed in industrial edge computing (i.e. QNX, SafeRTOS, Linux etc).
  • Understanding of the full software development life cycle (documentation, requirements, testing, deployment and traceability).
  • Experience with software version control systems such as Git or SVN is essential.
  • Knowledge of embedded systems and software development is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of model-based design and development utilising MathWorks products is an advantage (Simulink, Stateflow).
  • Experience with Functional Safety Rail SIL1/SIL2-rated software development is advantageous (EN50128 or equivalent).
  • A background in physics and mathematics is desirable.
  • Passion for identifying issues and discovering ways to fix them.
  • Ability to apply creative thinking to solve problems.
