Embroiderer – Afternoon / Night Shift

The Client

Our client is one of Australia’s largest wholesalers of Industrial products having over 20,000 products across a huge range, which includes a large range of work wear. 

Due to the recent expansion of our clients Embroidery Department with the purchase of a new facility and commercial embroidery machines they are seeking several experienced Embroiderers or candidates that have transferable skills and are able to learn how to operate commercial embroidery machines such as Upholsters, Commercial Sewing Machinist or Seamstresses.

The Role

Mainly embroidering company logos on work wear such as shirts, polos, trousers, jackets and hats. The successful candidate will be operating a Commercial Embroidery Machine that is able to embroider 8 to 12 items at a time.

The main responsibilities of the role include;

• Pre Start Checks on Machines – Visual & Manual Inspection & Oiling 
• Embroidery Machine Set Up
• Work off job orders – clothing items, quantities, sizes & logo design 
• Logo Set Up – Using computer to load logos design & size setting 
• Loading Embroidery machine of up to 8 items per run
• Monitoring machine while in operation
• Changing out thread spools
• Quality Control on completed jobs
• Packing & boxing completed jobs
• Machine pre start and end of day maintenance

Afternoon Shift -Working Days & Hours

Our client is seeking an Embroiderer for Afternoon Shifts, details are below.

• Working Days: Monday to Friday 
• Saturday & Sunday: Only when Embroidery Depart is busy – Optional – Paid OT
• Afternoon Shift: 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM 
• Afternoon Shift Pay Rate: Experienced $40.25 per hour / Inexperienced $36.80 per hour (All Pay rates are +  Super & + OT)

Please Note: Successful candidates will be required to work 1 to 2 weeks in day shift for training working from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. 

The Candidate

We are seeking a candidate that has experience as an Embroiderer that has worked in commercial embroidery for at least 3 months.  Candidates must be familiar with commercial embroidery machines where they are able to set up logo’s on the computer through to machine loading, machine set up and thread spool change outs.

Remuneration

Depending on your experience on Commercial Embroidery Machines pay rates will be; 

Pay Rates – Some Experience / Training Required 

• Afternoon Shift:  $36.80 Per Hour + Super + OT

Pay Rates - Experienced 

• Afternoon Shift: $40.25 Per Hour + Super + OT
