Embryologist

Position available: Full time/Part time Embryologist /Senior Embryologist

Family Fertility Centre is a Fertility Clinic in South Australia, located in Ashford Specialist Centre close to Adelaide CBD.  We specialise in customised fertility care for couples and singles through IVF/ICSI, and intrauterine insemination.

Position Summary:
Responsible for laboratory practices including but not limited to embryology, andrology and patient liaison during treatment. 

Task and Responsibilities:
o Perform IVF, ICSI, and associated ART procedures 

o Assist in egg collections procedures in theatre
o Assist in surgical sperm retrieval in theatre or treatment rooms

o Assist in embryo transfer procedures
o Perform assessment of semen, semen cryopreservation, semen processing and preparation for IUI and ART procedures .
o Preparation of semen samples for the purpose of artificial insemination
o Fertilisation checks on inseminated oocytes
o Culture of embryos and assessment of embryos for transfer or cryopreservation o Embryo and   oocyte cryopreservation and thawing
o Assist with embryo or gamete transportation procedures
o Preparation of dishes and all media required for ART procedures
o Reporting of embryology and IVF Treatment Cycle results for each patient
o Prepare and complete laboratory paperwork including data entry 

• PGT experience/trophectoderm biopsy and tubing skills preferred but not essential 
• Provide weekend scientific coverage on a roster system 
• Provided emergency support out of hours in exceptional circumstances 
• Maintain complete patient confidentiality 

Educational Qualifications: 

• Minimum of Bachelor of Science

• Good negotiation and problem-solving skills 
• Be a team player as well as be able to work unsupervised
