About the role The role provides the secretariat services for both the National Electricity Market Emergency Management Forum (NEMEMF) and the National Gas Emergency Response Advisory Committee (NGERAC) and the Gas Emergency Management Consultative Forum (GEMCF). Supporting the Senior Emergency and Business Continuity Advisor in the provision of the AEMO Business Continuity Program, building a network of stakeholders and supporting the internal AEMO Crisis and Emergency arrangements are key in this role. The role also includes an on-call role as National Emergency Duty Manager, receiving and assessing calls from within and external to AEMO and activating relevant AEMO and national emergency coordination mechanisms.
What you will be doing
- Secretariat services for the National Electricity Market Emergency Management Forum (NEMEMF), National Gas Emergency Response Advisory Committee (NGERAC) and the Gas Emergency Management Consultative Forum (GEMCF) including meeting coordination, working group management, debriefing and planning sessions and maintenance of relevant documents.
- Maintain a network of critical stakeholders within the emergency management sector of government, public service sectors and industry.
- Support the Senior Emergency and Business Continuity Advisor in the provision of training and exercises, and maintenance of documents, associated with the AEMO Business Continuity Management Program.
- Assist in the application of the Crisis and Emergency Management Framework and associated sub-plans whilst remaining cognisant of applicable legislative requirements.
- On-call operations as AEMO Emergency Duty Manager, receiving and triaging emergency calls and activating relevant internal and external facing emergency mechanisms.
