THE OPPORTUNITY
Reporting to the Group WHS Manager, we are seeking a professional ERT Superintendent to oversee our ERT team and provide advice, planning, support, and training of the Emergency Response function including Health & Safety activities to our operations across the business.
- First response to all emergency, medical and security incidents on site for employees and contractors across our various sites and operations
- Be available in an on-call / after-hours capacity, whilst on-shift
- Assist and facilitate development and review of emergency management teams training plans as well as assisting with the development of site risk registers
- Organise training and exercise schedules for the ERT teams, CMT teams and onsite IMT teams.
- Support WHS operations to work to the appropriate company standards, systems, processes, and critical controls for WHS risks
- Conduct workplace inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety and Emergency Response processes
- Prepare and plan growth and improvement opportunities for the Emergency Response Teams for Karora Resources
- Maintain accurate records and ensure integrity of department information, conducting regular reviews to ensure validity (INX InTuition/InControl)
- Oversee ordering and stock control of medical equipment, medications, and consumables
- Assist with injury rehabilitation and return to work programs if required
ABOUT YOU
- Current “C” Class Western Australian driver’s licence
- Interpretation and comprehension of WHS legislation and regulations
- Minimum 5 years’ demonstrated experience in an Emergency Services role, resource sector preferred
- Certificate III Mines Emergency Response & Rescue
- Certificate IV Occupational Health & Safety
- Certificate IV Healthcare
- Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment (desirable)
- BG4 qualification
- Proficient computer literacy and Microsoft Office Skills
- Experience in maintaining health and safety components through INX programs will be of advantage
- Experience in creating and managing ERT teams
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- A can-do, team-oriented attitude
- Desire to maintain a proactive safe working environment.
- At least 3 years previous underground experience
