About the role: We have an opportunity for an Emissions Reduction Leader to join our growing Fleet Decarbonisation team in this newly created role that will see you working on projects to reduce current emissions in our locomotive fleet. Ideally this role will be located in Brisbane, however we are open to consider strong candidates in locations across QLD and NSW.
This is a pivotal role in our team and will appeal to a driven and influential manager with strong expertise in emissions reduction or similar initiatives, change management, stakeholder engagement and coaching.
Effective Project Management delivering Emissions Reduction initiatives across the rollingstock fleet. Development of project management plans, including scope management, cost management, schedule management and quality/risk management.
Establish and facilitate initiative working groups, workshops and, but not limited to, risk assessment activities to progress initiatives according to the schedule with impacted business units involved.
Manage, monitor and control project activities in accordance with the plan as well as any related functional, operational or legal requirements.
Building effective relationships with stakeholders, influence and manage relationships to ensure alignment between the Business Units and Emission Reduction strategies.
Develop targeted engagement and communication approaches, ensuring progress is well understood by impacted parties.
Develop change management plans that ensure the sustainability of Emission Reduction initiatives, AND change is managed across impacted operations and maintenance leaders and teams.
Report to the Program Manager, Senior Management and other stakeholders on project progress, status and risk.
Where required, assist other Decarbonisation initiatives in managing and monitoring specific projects, inclusive of but not limited to involvement in various forums.
About you:
Proven track record in a similar role
High level of project management skills in relation to large scale and complex organisations.
High level of operational management skills, especially in leading and managing a professional team with particular emphasis on operating in a commercial environment.
Extensive knowledge of project management methodologies, tools and structure.
High level of skill in the development of common goals and strong working relationships between senior managers, key internal and external stakeholders and operational staff.
High level of interpersonal, communication, negotiation, conflict resolution and influencing skills that build and sustain productive relationships and partnerships.
High level of skill in analysis, interpretation and problem solving relevant to a high stress, ambiguous and fast changing environment
