The Lead for Employee Health and Wellbeing Operations, ANZ Campus (14-month parental cover) will manage the implementation of Employee Health services and policies across Campus locations The key intention of the role is to champion Employee Health and Wellbeing in line with the strategic imperatives and needs of multiple business functions.
S/he assumes campus-wide stewardship and is accountable for the deployment and performance of Global Health and Wellness strategy, policies, standards, and compliance across his/her campus in the areas of occupational health, wellness & health promotion, and employee assistance programs.
This role is also responsible for talent management of Return to Work and Injury Management (RTW) specialist role in ANZ and is expected to have learning and applying knowledge of RTW scope of work to enable efficient coaching and management of RTW talent.
What you'll do.
Key relationships
The EHW Operations Lead will routinely collaborate with business leaders in his/her campus. S/he will be a key liaison with EHSS, Facilities, Human Resources, Legal, Employee Relations, Finance, and operational leadership at a campus level. S/he may work with external groups and agencies. S/he is part of the EHW Campus Leadership Team.
Your key responsibilities will include the following:
Responsible for implementation of EHW strategy across all operating companies and local level EHW operational service delivery

  • Lead EHW strategy for each location to deliver on goals (define, develop, deliver, report)
  • Accountable for leading HR, company managers, EHSS, Facilities and other partners and their team in the development of holistic Health and well-being strategy for facilities in their campus.
  • Drive leadership engagement and stakeholder collaboration.
  • Responsible for successful implementation of the campus and local Employee Health and well-being strategy for local Supply Chain, R&D, Commercial customers in support of business objectives.
  • Drives health outcomes including reducing population health risks, leading and eliminating workplace health risks and supporting improved business outcomes through advancing Employee Health and well-being.
  • Is accountable for delivery of agreed-to regional health metrics and outcomes.
  • Lead process efficiencies and standardized work practices.
  • Responsible for health-related aspects of quality assurance and auditing programs.
  • Understand local regulatory compliance and the global J&J EHW requirements.
  • Provides EHW technical assistance and support as needed across all locations.
  • Responsible for vendor management for all vendors operating within their campus including site level and campus level service providers.
  • . Manages and provides technical leadership to RTW Specialist.
  • Leads and executes key management activities including Talent Management, Campus Budget Management, Cost allocation, and regulatory tracking processes.
  • Builds and leads a lean, highly competent EHW team that delivers EHW services to all facilities within the campus. Handles geographically dispersed client group locations which may include a mix of J&J employees and contractors.
  • Ensure the effective implementation and management, across the J&J ANZ Family of Companies, of EHW and EHSS related injury/illness prevention programs and occupational safety and health risks arising from J&J operations and activities.
  • Defines and coordinates all EHW resource needs within campus while optimizing use of SMEs (e.g., Occupational Health, Wellness, EAP, Energy Management) across all locations and business;
  • Routinely engages business leaders to review Culture of Health and Employee's health performance and compliance.
  • Quarterly results and compliance presentations to sector leadership and JJA Board.
  • Cultivates an atmosphere of openness and information sharing to inspire a culture of high awareness, visibility and diligence with respect to EHW matters
Qualifications

Who you are.
Required qualifications:
  • Masters/ Bachelors in Health care, Occupational Health, Life Sciences, Bio sciences, Hospital and Healthcare Management, related Medical background is preferred with passion for and strong experience in occupational health, health & wellness, corporate health or related function is required.
Knowledge and Experience:
  • Return to work knowledge and required certification is preferred. Relevant Return to work certification and specialization at learning and applying level
  • Certification in Occupational Health and Safety and Mental Health First Aider preferred
  • Working knowledge of workplace injury, risk assessments and audit and investigations., Workers Compensation Legislation
  • 8 to 10+ years of management experience preferred
  • Technical experience in EHW programs preferred
  • Strong People & Vendor Management experience
  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage stakeholders
  • People management experience required.
  • Experience partnering and influencing at senior levels within the business is required
  • Effective team development capability required
  • Experience of managing projects is required
  • Ability to work in a matrix, team-oriented environment is required
  • Relevant Return to work certification and specialization at learning and applying level
  • Business acumen and customer sensitivity.
