You work to improve the life of clients that identify with having a medical condition, illness, or disability by supporting them on a journey to secure sustainable employment through our Disability Employment Services Contract with Department of Social Services.

Your responsibilities will include.

  • Manage a caseload of participants in the pre-employment phase whilst, supporting with various employment and non-vocational capacity building activities on their journey to return to employment.
  • Maintain fortnightly contact appointments with participants by creating, reviewing, and regularly updating participant Job Plans and which allows our participants to meet their Mutual Obligation requirements, whilst managing contracted requirements.
  • Identify & implement appropriate interventions to prepare participants to take up an employment opportunity.
  • Educate employers of the benefits of utilising employment services provided by My Pathway, and the advantages of employing a person with a disability.
  • Introduce participants to potential Employers through various techniques including, but not limited to, cold calling, arranged meetings and cold canvasing.
  • Community engagement and development of stakeholder relationships through attending local community expos, events, and forums.
  • Ability to adhere to Australian Government Agencies Privacy Code and the Privacy act 1988.

What you need to be considered

  • The willingness and ability to build rapport with participants and other stakeholders, particularly Employers.
  • Ability and commitment to develop knowledge and skills relating to the employment and training of people with a disability.
  • Written and verbal communication skills that can be adaptable, and concise.
  • Customer focused by delivering an exceptional user experience, in a positive and compassionate nature.
  • Sound computer skills in Microsoft 365 products and experience using android smart phones.
  • Willingness to actively engage in a 10-day, comprehensive induction with hands on training and support.
  • Hold a current driver’s licence.
  • Must hold or ability to obtain a current Federal Police Check and Working with Children Check.
