As an Employment Coach your purpose is to act as a champion of contemporary disability service provision and person-centred practice for supported employees, in alignment with commercial outcomes and in partnership with site leadership. If you are someone with Disability Services experience looking for something a little different, then this could be the perfect role for you! Other key responsibilities will include:
- Facilitating enhanced employment outcomes for employees within a positive behaviour support framework and aligned with NDIS plan goals
- Reporting and monitoring employees progress towards achievement of their NDIS employment goals in line with their Individual Support Plan
- Assisting with the implementation of service offerings to employees to achieve learning and development outcomes that can lead to open employment, transition to retirement and life skills
- Working collaboratively with leaders, families, carers, and advocates for employees to ensure employees are receiving all the support they require in the workplace
- Engaging with schools and other relevant groups and entities to attract work experience students, as well as future potential employees
- Experience working with people with a disability in an employment setting or direct support
- You are a true people person who is passionate, patient, empathetic, resilient and dedicated to empowering people with disabilities to live their best lives
- Demonstrated ability to operate within a person-centred framework and applying the principles of social justice
- Ability to be flexible and agile in the workplace - move positively from one priority to another
- A genuine commitment to the purpose and values of the organisation, demonstrating an ability to adapt to a changing environment
- Excellent conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in using current MS Office programs (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook),
- Cert III in Individual Support (Disability) and previous case management will be highly regarded
