About the role
We are looking to engage an experienced DES Employment Consultant, to manage a caseload and assist people with disabilities to find and maintain open employment.
About you
To thrive in this fast-paced role, you will be highly organised and proactive. Some of the key responsibilities of the role include: -
- Ability to manage a case load of clients at our Fairfield site.
- Build relationships with employers and create and maintain a database of vacancies.
- Assist clients to address vocational and non-vocational barriers to employment and mentor clients to maintain sustainable employment.
- Work with participants to overcome their barriers, refer to appropriate local service providers to address participants barriers to employment. Prepare participants to ensure they are job ready.
- Undertake and adhere to the most recent DES Guidelines at all times.
In addition, you will have:
- Unrestricted NSW Driver’s License
- Ability to speak Vietnamese highly regarded
- Employment Services Foundation skills.
- Demonstrated skill in sales and management of case loads
- Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate at all levels
- Excellent time management and organisation skills
- Strong administrations skills
- Intermediate skills in MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
- Prior experience in a similar role
- Self-motivated with a flexible approach to work
- Be willing to provide update to date Covid vaccination certificate or medical exemption
