About the Role
The Medication Endorsed Enrolled Nurse will provide safe and effective assessment, treatment and management of patients, under the direction of a Registered Nurse, and deliver nursing care through:
- Clinical assessment and monitoring
- Medication management and monitoring (according to scope of practice)
- Escalation of deteriorating health status and/or care needs
- Accurate, comprehensive and timely clinical documentation
Classifications for the EN position will range from IB68 - IB72 ($66,856 - $71,141 per annum, pro rata for PT).
Your Contribution
- Degree in General Nursing, Current registration as a Medication Endorsed Enrolled Nurse with AHPRA
- Past experience as an EN working within an inpatient health care setting
- Experience (or desire to work) within a correctional health care setting
- Demonstrated ability in working as part of the multidisciplinary clinical team
- Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications, electronic patient records and patient administration systems

About Correctional Health Services
SVCHS at Port Phillip Prison (PPP) provides primary health, mental health and secondary medical health care to prisoners at Port Phillip Prison, Laverton. Port Phillip Prison is a maximum security male prison accommodating approximately 1107 inmates and is situated 20 km West of Melbourne. St. John's inpatient unit is a 40 bed subacute medical ward providing a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. On site services include, haemodialysis, palliative care, complex wound management, day oncology treatments, post-surgical/early discharge care, infectious disease management and rehabilitation programs.
