About the role:

We have an opportunity for a part-time Endorsed Midwife to join our Team.  This position will be located at our Gold Coast Private Hospital Clinic.

On any given day you will find yourself:

• Making our patients feel cared for alongside our Obstetric Doctors
• Conducting antenatal and postnatal consultations in accordance with the Grace Obstetric Care Model
• Working with high risk and simple pregnancies alike, developing your skills in antenatal care
• Writing referrals and conducting necessary investigations
• Working cooperatively within a multidisciplinary team 
• Performing internal procedures such as membrane sweeps/internal examinations
• Managing postnatal wounds
• Providing breastfeeding education 
• Being involved in the Midwifery Team to contribute to the ongoing management of Midwifery policies and procedures
• Vaccine and Cold Chain Management; including administration of vaccines and vitamins injections for antenatal patients. 

About you: 

• You will have 3+ years’ experience in a midwifery setting
• Have a current AHPRA registration 
• Have a Bachelor of Nursing & Graduate Diploma in Midwifery or Bachelor of Midwifery 
• Have obtained Endorsement and met NBMA requirements for prescribing scheduled medicines and associated midwifery services (or close to attaining this)
• Have the ability to work autonomously with initiative within a team setting with patient outcomes in the forefront of mind.
• Have exceptional communication skills which can be adapted to engage with all patients and internal stakeholders.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Have a positive and team orientated work ethic
• Current CPR certification 
• Current Police Check
