Energy Ahead is delivered on behalf of Synergy and aims to assist households experiencing financial hardship to improve energy literacy, reduce energy consumption and bills, connect to appropriate energy and complementary services and support, and identify and remove barriers to accessing energy efficient appliances, technologies and goods.
About the role
The Financial Wellbeing Collective (FWC) is a collaboration of not-for-profit community service organisations and local government who provide a range of integrated and person-centred services, with the aim of reducing the drivers and impacts of financial hardship in the Western Australian community. Working as part of the FWC, the Energy Coach role is responsible for:
Completing in-home and virtual energy assessments for Energy Ahead customers
Preparing individual energy efficiency reports and action plans
Installing basic draft proofing and other energy efficiency items such as light globes, thermometers and shower timers
Referring eligible customers for high-cost appliance replacement
Phone coaching
Delivery of energy efficiency coaching workshops in the local community
As a Child Safe/Youth Safe organisation, you will embrace a child safety culture, ensuring safe environments where children and young people feel valued, respected and are protected from abuse and harm.
This is a part time opportunity (working 30 hours per week) until 30 June 2025. Successful applicants should be available to work on Wednesdays, with flexibility around other working days.
About you
You are a passionate individual who is driven to deliver a quality service for our clients.
To be successful in this role you will have:
Exceptional interpersonal skills with an ability to relate to a wide range of clients in need of assistance, including clients from Aboriginal and culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
Experience working independently and with minimal direction
Well developed computer literacy skills, and the ability to learn new computer systems quickly
Well developed numeracy skills
The ability to maintain high quality standards and attention to detail
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to be flexible, demonstrate initiative and work effectively under pressure
You also must possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one year, a WA Working with Children Check and a WA White Card (or a willingness to obtain one).

Remuneration and benefits
Maximum term contract until 30 June 2025
Work 30 hours per week (must include Wednesday)
$70,196 per annum (pro rata) + 11% super
Tax-free salary packaging benefits up to $15,900 per annum may be available
