About the role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed market analysis to identify trading opportunities and risks in energy markets.
  • Develop and maintain trading models and tools to support decision-making processes.
  • Monitor and analyse market trends, news, and data to provide actionable insights for trading strategies.
  • Collaborate with traders to optimise trading strategies and improve profitability.
  • Assist in the execution of trades, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyse trading performance and prepare reports on trading activities and outcomes.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate trading risks.
  • Maintain and update market databases, ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
  • Support the development and implementation of new trading strategies and products.
  • Participate in the evaluation and selection of trading technologies and platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including risk management, finance, and compliance, to ensure integrated trading solutions.
  • Stay updated on industry developments, market regulations, and trading technologies.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of trading processes and methodologies.

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Energy Trading, market analysis, or a related role.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and financial modelling.
  • Excellent understanding of energy markets, trading instruments, and market dynamics.
  • Proficiency in trading software and analytical tools (e.g., Excel, Python, SQL).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

    Investment Advisory and Negotiation

    Negotiate and advise on deals and contracts with clients and other stakeholders, including the structure of the investment, terms of transaction and any legal agreements involved

    Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and investors, providing ongoing support throughout the transaction lifecycle
