Dahlia Homes is a leading Disability Support Provider in the ACT and Surrounding regions. We are a reasonably new organisation, with a fast-growing reputation. Our team has over 20 years' experience within the industry, and we are passionate for what we do, and the supports we provide to our community.

We are looking for our next Team member to join our growing organisation. We have a position available - Engagement Liaison Officer / Independent Living Coordinator for someone who has extensive Disability and Management experience. This position is fulltime, where you will be across Supported Independent Living Homes and in the Office- this can be negotiated on days and times. 

We are looking for someone who has a passion for the disability industry, provides good communication skills and is transparent when dealing with stake holders. The Engagement Liaison Officer/ Independent Living Coordinator is a crucial foundation of our organisation, you will be one of the faces to the business and therefore it is important that you are equipped to assist staff and participants to live as independently as possible. You will be the voice between the executive team and the field staff, and therefore communication is paramount to ensure you build positive relationships and maintain quality service delivery. You will work closely with the service coordinator to ensure the high level of care is maintained, and you are able to provide ongoing support autonomously. You will gain great experience, however it is also crucial that prior industry experience has been achieved before applying for this position as it is only suitable for an experienced supervisor. The position will involve report writing, and therapeutic capacity building reports to provide accurate representation of the support we provide. You will also need to manage a team of 20+ staff and this will require previous experience. 

We are looking for team members to join and grow with us. Team members that will work alongside Dahlia's Mission and Values, in providing individualised and holistic supports. We are offering education and onsite support to further careers and provide on the job training within the NDIS industry and disability requirements. 

Qualifications/ Requirements 

  • Minimum Certificate 3 in Individual Supports, Ageing, Mental Health or equivalent. 
  • Working with Vulnerable People Card
  • NDIS Screening 
  • First Aid & CPR 
  • Driver's License & Access to a Car 
  • Police Check 
  • Minimum 3 years Industry Experience 
  • Knowledge of the NDIS (Essential) 
  • Rostering Experience (Preferred but not essential) 
  • Administration Experience (Essential)
