AddressBard Engineering is a well-established Australian company that has serviced the Australian and international mining and support industry for over 30 years.
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Archerfield-based team focussing on Mechanical and Control system engineering of Heavy Mining Equipment. You will be working with a highly skilled team of Engineers developing and improving our products, production processes, and equipment, that is manufactured in house with close ties with the workshop.
Description
- Designing, developing, and enhancing heavy mechanical systems to meet demanding applications.
- Working within a close knit project team.
- Conducting research, validating & documenting findings.
- Identifying areas of potential improvement in the manufacturing process and making recommendations.
- Understanding client briefs and developing robust solutions.
Qualification and Experience
The ideal candidate would have most of the following:
- Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering.
- 10+ years 3D modelling experience using Solidworks & data management systems (PDM) / CAD 2D drafting.
- 5+ years of heavy mechanical design experience, referencing relevant Australian Standards.
- Proficient in the application, interpretation and validation of FEA output.
- Technically literate with a high level understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Extensive knowledge of hydraulic systems, components and circuit design.
- Strong mathematical, analytical, problem solving, and creative thinking skills.
- Ability to lead project design teams.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Experience with ELV Control Systems.
- Self-motivated and open to continuous learning and improvement.
- Excellent customer service.
- Must have Australian Work Rights.
