We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Control Systems Engineer on behalf of our client, a forward-thinking company dedicated to pushing the boundaries of traditional electrical engineering. As a Control Systems professional, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing advanced control systems for a variety of industrial applications. You will work closely with a team of skilled engineers and project managers to deliver efficient, reliable, and cutting-edge solutions to our client's projects ranging from industrial, resources to water sectors.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop control system architectures, including hardware and software components.
- Create and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
- Program and configure PLC and SCADA applications.
- Oversee the installation, commissioning, and testing of control systems.
- Troubleshoot and debug control systems during startup and operational phases.
- Collaborate with project managers to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Develop project timelines and ensure adherence to schedules.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
- Optimize and maintain existing control systems for increased efficiency and reliability.
- Prepare detailed documentation for control systems, including user manuals, technical specifications, and maintenance logs.
- Ensure all control systems comply with relevant industry standards and safety regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Solid experience in control systems design, implementation and commissioning
- Proficient in PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider).
- Familiarity with HMI/SCADA systems (e.g., Wonderware, Ignition, WinCC).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in using CAD software for electrical design (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical).
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
