  • Analyse plant performance data to successfully identify, prioritise and implement reliability improvement initiatives
  • Recommend and implement tactics designed to maintain asset health and improve asset safety, reliability and integrity
  • Provide technical engineering support to the site maintenance execution teams
  • Champion reliability practices on site including FMECA, RCM/PMO, criticality and spares assessments, constraint optimisation and identify opportunities for reliability-focussed investment

What you will bring

  • The ability to work collaboratively across a diverse range of stakeholders and operational teams
  • Experience leading continuous improvement activities
  • Practical experience and an understanding of reliability modelling and concepts - FMECA, RCM, etc.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or related discipline and previous maintenance or reliability experience within a mining environment
  • Experience in SAP, Downtime Systems and GE APM will be advantageous
  • A current and valid manual 'C Class' driver's licence
  • An understanding of Iron Ore fixed plant processing equipment such as conveyors, screens, crushers and balance machines will be beneficial

Where you will be working

This position is based at our West Angelas mine operation, working an 5/2/4/3 FIFO roster from Perth. Applicants must be residing in or willing to permanently relocate to Western Australia.

Located 110km west of Newman, West Angelas operates on a fly in fly out roster from Perth, Broome and Busselton.

West Angelas is a pioneer in autonomous technologies - we were the first site to trial autonomous haul trucks and incorporate autonomous drilling into our operations in 2008, and we continue to have one of the largest mining fleets in the Pilbara.

Our high grade, low phosphorous Marra Mamba orebody is an integral part of the Pilbara Blend, contributing both lump and fines products on around four trains each day. At the West Angelas hub there are state-of-the-art power generation and refueling facilities. These facilities supply power and diesel fuel to the East Pilbara mine sites.

The future is bright at West Angelas with ongoing growth projects at Deposits C and D, as well as additional deposits under study providing enormous opportunities for personal development and career growth.

What we offer

  • Be recognised for your contribution, innovative thinking, and hard work, knowing you've played a part in advancing the world.
  • Career development & education assistance to further your technical or leadership ambitions
  • Local relocation packages offered for Australian residents only
  • A team where safety (physical and psychological) is always the number one priority
  • A competitive salary package reflective of your skills and experience with annual incentive program
  • Comprehensive medical benefits including subsidised private health insurance for employees and immediate family
  • Attractive share ownership plan and extensive salary sacrifice & salary packaging options
  • Ongoing access to family-friendly health and medical wellbeing support
  • Leave for all of life's reasons (vacation/annual, paid primary carer, sick leave)

  • 18 weeks of gender-neutral and equal paid parental leave, with continued superannuation contributions whilst employees are on unpaid, or half paid parental leave

We are committed to elevating Indigenous voices and increasing cultural maturity at every level of our business. We value the diverse range of skills, life experiences, and perspectives within our team to enhance our collaborative approach and strengthen our ability to achieve success together. To help you on your journey with us, you'll also have access to:

  • Specialist Indigenous Support Advisors are on hand to assist Indigenous employees throughout their employment journey, with a focus on fostering inclusivity and supporting cultural knowledge.
  • Our two-way mentoring program presents an important opportunity for our senior leaders in Australia to offer career advice to our Indigenous talent, while gaining a better understanding of some of the challenges faced by Indigenous employees.
  • Indigenous leadership programmes across some professional and operational roles to ensure that we are developing Indigenous Leaders enhancing the representation of diverse voices at decision-making tables throughout our Australian business.
