With over 30 years of experience in the design and manufacture of tools for the Plastics and Die Casting Industries, our client is able to deal with leading manufacturers in the Automotive, Engineering, Pharmaceutical, Defense, Home-ware, food, Hospitality, Domestic and Agriculture industries, supplying quality custom tooling. An exciting opportunity has become available for an Apprentice in Fitting & Machining to join their friendly and experienced team. Duties would include but are not limited to receiving and identifying the design, assembly, manufacture, installation, modification, testing, fault finding, commissioning, maintenance and service of all mechanical equipment, machinery, CAD/CAM Design & CNC machining modern workshop and the use of computer controlled machine tools. Ensuring workshop is clean and orderly, ensuring stock is identifiable and orderly and demonstrating a commitment to Workplace Health and Safety.
You will also be working towards completing a Certificate III in Engineering or a Certificate IV in Engineering. To be considered for this position you must be mature minded with exceptional common sense, a genuine interest and passion for the Engineering & Mechanical trade, those that have completed Year 12 and have completed the pre-app engineering certificate will be highly regarded.
You must also be trustworthy, punctual, reliable & have strong communication skills. Car & Licence is preferred but not essential. Juniors are encouraged to apply.
